Bruce is active in the community and has played a leadership role in founding a number of fundraising and public awareness events. He is a founding board member and was fundamental in the creation of the Chain Of Lakes Trail Association (COLTA); founding committee member and Co-Chair of the William Dennis Memorial Golf Tournament in aid of Paediatric Epilepsy at the IWK; founding committee member and past Co-Chair of Get Up There for Colorectal Cancer Research and Awareness in Nova Scotia; founding committee member of The Holiday On The Harbour Charity Ball in aid of children’s charities, and a proud member on the Board of Directors for MRWA (MacIntosh Run Watershed Assoc.).
Growing up in south end Bruce is a proud Halagonian. Now living in the Farimount area with his wife Heidi and two children, Megan and Cameron. Bruce is most proud of being a loving and supporting father and husband. Bruce is active organizing his own hockey league and tennis league and loves to be outdoors to mountain bike, ski, and golf.
